Role Description

As a Shopify/WordPress Developer, you’ll be responsible for developing and customizing websites on both Shopify and WordPress platforms. You'll collaborate with the design, content, and marketing teams to deliver websites that are not only visually appealing but also optimized for performance, functionality, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and customize websites on Shopify and WordPress according to client requirements.
  • Implement and modify themes/templates to meet project needs while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Create and manage e-commerce functionalities such as product catalogs, payment gateways, and inventory systems (Shopify).
  • Customize plugins and integrations to extend website functionality (WordPress).
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance across different devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth website performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and features in Shopify and WordPress development.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Shopify and WordPress website development.
  • Education: High School Pass or higher (certifications in web development preferred).
  • Core Skills:
    • Proficiency in Shopify theme customization and Liquid programming.
    • Expertise in WordPress, including theme and plugin customization.
    • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
    • Experience with e-commerce functionality, payment gateways, and third-party integrations.
    • Understanding of website optimization techniques for performance and SEO.
    • Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery (WordPress), and Shopify apps.
    • Knowledge of version control systems like Git is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period.
